Tammy Louise Lambert

Tammy Louise (Workman) Lambert, 66, of Sophia went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 11, 2026, following a short illness. Born November 15, 1959 in Jonben, WV, she was the daughter of the late Lana Dale Lawson Sears, the late Lonnie Dale Workman and Lundy Sears. She was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Kay Workman and her father-in-law, William Lambert.

She is survived by the love of her life, Kenneth Lambert, and her father, Lundy Sears. Others left to cherish her memory are her devoted daughters Heather Bolen (Aaron Doug) of Josephine and Mari Yost (Corey) of Crab Orchard; grandchildren, Chance Bolen (Chiauna), Audrianna Bowling (Shawn), Bailee Bolen, Lailyn and Landry Yost; great grandchildren, Kelsey, Kingston, Abigail, and Maverick Bowling, Cash and Camryn Bolen, and her mother-in-law, Phyllis Lambert, who loved Tammy as her own daughter.  In addition, she leaves behind special aunts, uncles, cousins - especially her golden boy, Chris Lawson - and many dear friends who were like her extended family.

A 1978 graduate of Independence High School, she attended West Virginia Tech and worked as a dental assistant until dedicating her later years to helping raise her children and grandchildren.  A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she was a caring homemaker and a true prayer warrior for her family.  A fierce friend to all who knew her, she had a smile that would light up the darkest day.  She most treasured time spent with family at holiday gatherings and coastal vacations.

A faithful member of Ury Community Baptist Church, Tammy gave her life to the Lord in 2005 and spent the rest of her years faithfully serving Him. She was a devoted pastor's wife who loved her church family very much, especially her church kids: Logan, Shelby and Parker Smith.  More than anything, Tammy would want to tell you she wants to see you in Heaven and would plead for you to accept Jesus as your personal Savior today so she can see you there.  She said, "See y'all later, Luvy!"

A Celebration of Tammy's Life will be held, Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at the Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church on Brethren Church Road in Crab Orchard with Pastor R.D. Tolliver officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
