Teddy Junior Nelson

Teddy Junior Nelson, age 66, of Maple Fork, WV, passed away at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV on Thursday, March 20, 2025.

Born on September 2, 1958, in Charleston, he was the son of the late Theodore Carl Nelson and Ella Mae Bruno Nelson.

Mr. Nelson was a disabled employee of the strip-mining industry, where he worked as a heavy equipment operator.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Stanley Gay Nelson, Carl Ray Nelson and Bobby Lee Nelson; a sister Debbie Sue Nelson; a grandson Joshua Adams Phillips Jr.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife of 12 years, Debra Louise Wrinkle Nelson; two sisters  Gloria Pack of Maple Fork, and Patty Frye and husband Randy of North Carolina; three daughters Pam Phillips of Oak Hill, Tonyia Phillips and husband Josh of Oak Hill, and Rebecca Clyburn and husband Doug of Ohio;  grandchildren Makayla Phillips, Airon Phillips, Cheyenne Phillips, Emily Phillips, Dustin Clyburn, and Dougie Clyburn; great grandchildren, Klaira Phillips, Kynslee Phillips, and Daniel Clyburn. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at 12:30 PM at Sandbranch Worship Center with Pastor Ken Souder officiating.
