Terry Lee Mclemore

Terry Lee McLemore, age 73, of Beckley, WV passed away at his home on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.

Born on December 20, 1950 in Anadarko, Oklahoma, he was the son of the late Denver Lee McLemore and Helen Reddin Glasser.

Terry, as he was known by family and friends, was a retired water plant operator, and also as a supervisor for the Town of Sophia.

He was a member of the Sophia First Baptist Church, where he faithfully served as a deacon in the church.  Terry served in the US Army for two years, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a man of many talents, and was one who could fix just about anything. Terry was a man of determination, and fought the battle of his illness up to the very end of his life.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Savage.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 55 years, Marsha Alderman McLemore; a son Chad McLemore at home; a sister Glinda McConnell of Shawnee, Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service will be held to Celebrate the life of Terry Lee McLemore at the Sophia First Baptist Church in Sophia, WV on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 2 PM with Dr. Ronald Hodge officiating.  A visitation will  be held from 12:30 pm until service time on Thursday at the church.
