Timothy Lee Tate

Timothy Lee Tate, age 62, of Flat Top, WV passed away at his home on Saturday, January 10, 2026.

Born on September 13, 1963 in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late Thomas Tate and Dallas Blair Tate.

Tim, as he was known by his family and friends, had worked in road construction for several years.

He loved music, collecting knives, and being outdoors.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his children, Angelina England of Beckley, Crystal Estes of Garwood, Amanda Shifflette of Corrine, Tommi Lee Tate of Beckley, Tim Tate of Matheny, and Attilah Fant of Michigan; a sister Zenia Robertson of Flat Top, with whom he made his home, and several other brothers and sisters.Two special nephews, David Robertson of Cool Ridge, and Jody Robertson of Daniels; a special niece Genie "Baby Girl" Robertson of Flat Top; a great nephew Hunter Foley of Flat Top. Several grandchildren also survive.

A Celebration Of Life Service will be held at the Amos E. Quesenberry Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Shady Spring, WV on Friday, January 16, 2026 at 6:00 PM, with Rev. Larry Lilly officiating. Friends may gather with the family 30 minutes prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
