Virginia Marie Ballengee

Virginia Marie Ballengee, age 81, of Shady Spring, WV went to be in the loving arms of Jesus at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV on Monday March 9, 2026.

Born on January 30, 1945 at Ballard, WV, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Nelson Wickline and Macel Maxine Ballard Wickline.

Mrs. Ballengee was a retired cook from the Raleigh Center in Daniels, WV. She was a member of Clifftop Missionary Baptist Church, and enjoyed quilting, crocheting, canning, and cooking.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Ballengee was preceded in death by a son Dana Wickline, and a brother John Wickline.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her husband of 7 years, Robert Ballengee; her children, Christal Marie Wickline of Shady Spring, Faith Bragg of Cool Ridge, and Charlene Coble and husband Darren of Shady Spring; four brothers and five sisters; grandchildren, Alisha Wickline of Davie, FL, Nicholas Wickline and girlfriend Halie of Irish Mountain, Laura McKinney and husband Aaron of Eden, NC, Maria Trent and husband Jordan of Cool Ridge, and Heather Coble of Glen Morgan; fifteen great grandchildren and two great-great granddaughters, with another great-great granddaughter soon to be born. She also leaves behind special friends and neighbors, Wayne and Wanda Ballengee.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Clifftop Missionary Baptist Church, on Airport Road, Beaver, WV on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Keith Manning officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley, WV. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Friday at the church.

Pallbearers will be Johnny and Russell Ballengee, Cody Plumley, Aaron and Brysen McKinney, Nicholas Wickline, and J.D. Bennett.
