Rev. William "Bill" Edward Jenkins

Rev. William (Bill) Edward Jenkins passed away peacefully in his home at Greystone in Daniels, West Virginia on Sunday, June 30, 2024. He was 93 years old.

Born of the late William and Bessie Jenkins on November 22, 1930, in Price Hill WV.

He was an employee of the IRS for 27 years, and served as a pastor in Fayette, Raleigh, and Summers counties. He last served as pastor of River Valley Baptist Church in Forest Hill, WV. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and enjoyed telling stories of his time in the service. He was also an avid hunter and loved being outdoors.

Bill and his wife Janette were longstanding members of Clifftop Missionary Baptist Church, and supporters of Friends of Israel. He was strong in his faith and had a deep love for the Lord. He has now been called home to rejoice with Him in peace, free from this world.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Margaret (Janette) Jenkins, and his two sisters Marion Oliver and Wanda Stevens.

Bill is survived by his sister Lillian Foti, nieces Toni Ferry and Pamela Martin, nephew David Oliver, as well as many great nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Services will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024 at Clifftop Missionary Baptist Church in Beaver, WV
with Keith Manning officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 pm, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm. He will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum for those who wish to attend after the service.
