Yvette Jean Carpenter

Yvette Jean Burnette Carpenter, age 81, of Beckley, WV passed away at the Rocking Chair Residential Care in Lerona, WV on Saturday, February 7, 2026.

Born on September 6, 1944 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Peter Burnette and Effie Cecilia East Burnette.

Mrs. Carpenter was a retired clerical worker, and was of the Protestant faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Billy Carpenter; by a brother, Samuel Francis Burnette, and by one nephew.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her sister, Yvonne Ruby Burnette Ehlebracht of Brookings, South Dakota;  two brothers,  Roger Preston Burnette of Milford, Delaware, and Maurice Paul Burnette of Indian Head, Maryland. Five nieces and one nephew also survive.

A Private Burial will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV.
