Randall Lee Mckinney

Randall Lee McKinney Sr, age 58, of White Oak, WV passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021 as a result of an automobile accident.

Born on September 8, 1962 in Mullens, he was the son of the late Herbert Paul McKinney Sr. and Charlotte Darlene Holdren McKinney.

Randy, as he was known by family and friends, was employed by Charleston Area Medical Center, as an I.T. Specialist.

He was a US Army Veteran, where he served as a medic.  Randy enjoyed movies, traveling, and camping. He loved his family dearly, but the love of his life was his wife Carol.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Trevor Lester, a daughter Katrina McKinney, and a sister, Stacy McKinney.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of36 years Carol, ten children: Jeffrey Wyatt of Shady Spring, Randall McKinney Jr. and wife Brandy of Beaver, Aaron Paul McKinney of Charleston, Tabetha Fitzwater of Sophia, Sean Lawrence McKinney and wife Ashley of Beckley, Nick Wickline of Shady Spring, Lauren McKinney of North Carolina, Shasta McKinney and husband Chase Davis of North Carolina, Trenton McKinney of White Oak, and Tristan McKinney of White Oak. Many other foster children who also knew Randy as dad; brothers, Herbert McKinney Jr. and wife Kelli of North Carolina, and Shane McKinney of White Oak; sisters, Ginger McKinney of Kentucky, Sarah McKinney and husband Anthony of Virginia, and Karen Leighty and husband Robert of Virginia; sisters-in-law, Donna Lilly of Beckley, and Elizabeth Wyatt and husband Randy of Coal City. Fourteen grandchildren and a great grandchild expected to be bornin March 2021.

A funeral service will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 2 PM with Rev. Bill Monk officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley. Friends may visit with the family from noon until service time on Friday at the funeral home.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Facial coverings and social distancing will be observed as mandated by the Governor of the State of WV.
