Ruby Ann Milam

Ruby Ann Milam, age 60, of Harper Heights, Beckley, WV passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023, at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley.

Born on January 23, 1963, in Beckley, she was the daughter of the late James McDowell and Georgia Wheeler McDowell Clyburn.

Mrs. Milam was a 1981 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and a graduate of Valley College and had served as a newspaper carrier for Beckley Newspapers Inc.  She became a Christian at an early age and was currently attending Maxwell Hill Baptist Church in Beckley. Mrs. Milam was very kind and caring and loved animals. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend to all; she will be missed but never forgotten.

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her daughter Amber Milam of Beckley; a sister Diana Brewer and husband Richard of Lincolnton, NC; best friend who was like a sister, Alicia Terry of Beckley; two nieces Kristi Seeber and husband Seth of Lincolnton, NC, and Meredith Gebhart and husband Paul of Huntersville, NC; several great nieces and nephews, and special fur babies Eevee, Serena, and Missy.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Friday, March 3, 2023, at noon with Rev. Ken Killen officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Friday at the funeral home.

Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
