Corporate Vs Family

In the early 1990’s, a surge of large corporations began buying funeral homes and mortuaries across the United States; some of those funeral homes are right here in your backyard.

When selecting a funeral establishment, you may want to research and see if the business is owned by a local family or a large corporation. THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE!

Traditionally, funeral services have been provided by generations of local families who have deep roots in the community. Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Homes are proud to say that we are family-owned and operated. We give you the one-on-one personal attention and the care and support that you and your family need before the funeral, during the funeral, and after the funeral. Being family-owned, you will receive the utmost professionalism that only generations of service can offer.

Because we are family-owned, we take great pride and care in everything that we do. Funeral homes and mortuaries owned by large corporations must answer to a board of directors, none of whom are in the area the establishment is operating in. Along with a board of directors, they also must answer to investors/shareholders whose focus is to have a good return on their money invested.

Our focal point is the family we are serving, not the profits. Like any establishment, we need to make a profit to continue to exist and serve. However, our business does not have to focus on meeting quotas to achieve bonuses. There is absolutely no pressure from some corporate headquarters to increase our profits. We at Rose and Quesenberry are answerable to only our families and their needs at the time.

The decisions that are made by our family-owned business are local and responsive to our community.

Once the funeral is over and the flowers have been delivered to your door, we do not leave you. With our Aftercare Program, we reach out to the families we serve and help with any estate, insurance, UMWA, Veterans, and other paperwork that may need to be completed and filed.

At the end of the day, the Quesenberry Family, along with the Rose and Quesenberry family, believes a family-owned and operated funeral home has more to offer than any corporate competitor.
